9. Shanghai - 东北人
A must try! Honey glazed sweet potato
东北人 is a restaurant which serves Dongbei cuisine in Shanghai. Rather unique restaurant. It has a very oriental decoration. All the waiters and waitresses wore their traditional costumes. Some will even perform their pouring tea and singing skills. Cool~ The food, to my disappointment, didn't taste as great as the decoration seems. Price of food is cheap. Nevertheless, the cultural experience is a plus.
8. Shanghai - 王廷酒家
Located along 乍浦路, somewhere near 南京西路. Best to take cab. Crowded at certain times. Nice food. Price is almost near to our restaurant's rate, a bit lower though. Seafood available in this restaurant. Free fruits at free flow rate available for all customers.
7. Shanghai - Sichuan Cuisine
Cold dish
The food served in this Sichuan restaurant is rather exquisite. The food is really nice. However, the price is almost equivalent to our local restaurant's. They have a lot of cold dishes on their menu. The red dates with glutinous rice is a must try! Some international cuisine as well. Nice ambience. Located in 金桥 district in Shanghai. Next to carrerfour.
6. Shanghai - 敦汤之家
This restaurant is located in the town area of Shanghai, in one of the alleys in 南京西路. Always crowded. Food is cheap and in big portion. It tastes nice too. Good and nourishing soup. A plus to it is they are all MSG-FREE. Can you believe it? The real skills to cook, bound to attract people. Indeed, if you go there later than 8pm, bowls of soup will be sold out.
