Jumbo prawn salad
The signature pyramid shaped chicken rice
This boon tong kee is at river valley road. The business is very good. I would say the chicken rice is good, not oily and the rice is bui bui type. The chicken is so-so. The waitress recommended us to try the jumbo prawn salad as it's a seasonal dish. The prawn was indeed jumbo....the taste not that great. The price is $29.60 for one which I think was pretty expensive. Not much meat. The coffee ribs were cheap. It cost only $13.80 for 6 ribs. However, the ribs were overfried. This made the ribs like dried up ribs. Eating-in at Boon Tong Kee will now include the service and GST charges. My bill added up to $73 for what you see here. Many people would prefer take-aways.
